Currently, most Scottish individuals and organisations use .com or .co.uk domain names for their websites and email. The dotSCOT campaign is aiming towards the introduction of a new top level domain, namely .scot, to give Scots worldwide a unique identity online.
Later this year, Scotnom Ltd will be submitting an application to ICANN on behalf of all Scots for the right to set up and run the registry for dotSCOT.
To allow us to successfully apply for the dotSCOT domain later this year we will require the backing of the entire Scottish community. There are a number of ways you can help, but please start by registering your support and asking your friends to do the same.
